PACKAGE OVERVIEW – PRIVATE TRAINING
- Private sessions in your home or in public
- Hands-on instruction on building your dog’s understanding of a command and how to address problem behaviors
- Instruction on how to practice these commands daily through homework
- Training tools will be determined at free evaluation. These may include a martingale collar, prong collar, remote collar, long line, etc.
- $100 hourly flat rate within Tri-Valley area (travel fee applies if outside Tri-Valley)
- Lessons priced by the hour — no extra fee for multi-dog households
PACKAGE DETAILS
During private sessions, we cover the following, depending on your dog and goals:
- Leadership with your dog
- Sit – for short duration
- Down – stay until released
- Heeling and general leash manners
- Place command – stay on a mat with defined boundaries until released
- Come – stop what you are doing, come directly to me
- Crate training – no whining, calm exit and entry
- Addressing any problem behaviors, such as jumping up, counter surfing, reactivity, impulse control, nipping, resource guarding, etc.
All lessons are one hour each. The first session covers crate training, the beginning of heel, ‘sit’, and ‘place’ command. During the second session we will review, troubleshoot, and introduce recall (come), and ‘down’. The final three sessions are focused on building on these skills, answering questions, and trouble shooting problem areas.
–> Multi-dog households: there is no extra fee to include a second dog in this training. Lessons are priced by the hour. You are welcome to choose to split an hour long lesson between multiple dogs, with the understanding that we’ll achieve the most we can with our limited time.
The package price does not include any lesson materials. Owners are responsible for purchasing/providing the materials required, as specified by Purple Dog Training.
